About the Role
With all of the stressors of the past several years, we’ve seen mental health issues surge. We know that you love helping your patients, and there’s a chance for you to lean into an even deeper level of care with a role in the Lyra Medication Management program. Our physicians practice in a collaborative care model, closely consulting with psychiatrists and primary care physicians to provide clients with easily-accessible, culturally-responsive, patient-centered, quality mental health care.
This care model enables physicians to get to know the whole patient in a 90-minute initial appointment, while supporting them with referrals to therapy and coaching services through our tech platform.
This role may be for you if you are a family medicine or internal medicine physician with a strong interest in mental health, looking to advance your career in this subspecialty.
FURTHER EXPANDING ACCESS: Lyra is currently prioritizing physicians in CA, IL, WA, and TX for this remote opportunity. We also welcome physicians who have received a Letter of Qualification through the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact from a State of Principal License (SPL).
Practice comprehensive, virtual mental health medication management via a 90-minute intake appointment and 30-minute follow-up appointments
Conduct mental health risk assessments and evaluations
Document treatment recommendations, message patients, and prescribe medication using Lyra’s custom-built mental health EHR
Consult with team psychiatrist and peers in regular 1:1 and group consultation
MD or DO - Board certified, ideally in internal or family medicine
2+ years of experience post-residency, with experience in longitudinal, continuity of care models
Unrestricted license
Strong interest in, and passion for, mental health
Desire to deepen expertise in mental health care
Excellent time management skills
Comfortable using technology to deliver care virtually
Able to dedicate 20 hours total across 3-5 days per week during regular business hours. Some patient communication may be required outside of these set hours as well.

The anticipated annual base salary range for this part-time position is $100,000. The base range is determined by role and level, and placement within the range will depend on a number of job-related factors, including but not limited to your skills, qualifications, experience and location
