Dane Street is looking for highly qualified professionals to join our esteemed physician panel! This is a remote opportunity that allows you to earn supplemental income on a flexible schedule. We offer independent contract positions (1099) where compensation is provided on a per-case basis.

The ideal candidate will be Board Certified in Oncology and possess an active medical license.

Requirements

JOB SUMMARY

As a Physician Advisor for Disability Peer Review within the scope of Oncology, you will leverage your expertise to review oncology-related cases and provide authoritative guidance on medical necessity and claims processing. The Physician Reviewer will ensure that all evaluations meet client-specific policies and are aligned with recognized standards of oncology care.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Conduct detailed reviews of medical records pertaining to oncology cases to respond to client inquiries, employing suitable criteria and guidelines.
    • Produce clear and concise determinations with robust documentation to support your findings.
    • Utilize the latest medical standards, evidence-based resources, and peer-reviewed literature to guide sound clinical decisions.
    • Provide prompt and thorough reports that include relevant criteria utilized during the evaluation.
    • Adhere to defined deadlines for case completion and submission.
    • Engage in follow-up communication as necessary, tailored to the needs of specific cases.
    • Maintain all required licensure and certification to ensure the effectiveness of performance.
    • Participate in mandatory training, orientation, and quality assurance programs.
    • Get involved in audits or additional reviews as necessary to ensure compliance and quality assurance.
  • Board Certification in Oncology and active clinical practice is required for this role.
