What you'll do
- Establishes positive, trusting rapport with clients
- Diagnoses and treats mental health disorders with the utmost compassion, integrity, and commitment to excellence
- Creates and updates individualized treatment plans according to patient needs and circumstances
- Conducts individual and family therapy
- Creates individualized therapeutic and experiential opportunities for client
- Conducts ongoing assessments of patient progress and coordinates and arranges for services needed on a patient-by-patient basis
- Conducts group therapy sessions according to program schedule
- Maintains thorough records of patient meetings and progress
- Follows all safety protocols and maintains client confidentiality
- Communicates regularly with outpatient providers to ensure continuity of care
- Attends staff and treatment team meetings to consult on individual cases
Qualifications
- Minimum of a Master's degree in psychology, social work, counseling or related field
- Must be a fully-licensed counselor, therapist or social worker that is able to practice independently in the state(s) licensed
- Minimum of 1 year of experience treating patients with eating disorders and disordered eating
- Must be empathic, genuine, self-aware and competent.
- Must take initiative, demonstrate sound judgment and demonstrate strong interpersonal and time management skills.
- Experience with Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), experiential therapies, family therapy, mindfulness and/or other modalities is desirable.
- It is required that the psychotherapist demonstrate understanding of and sensitivity towards issues of cultural diversity including, but not limited to, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, religion, gender expression, weight, and size.
Physical and Environmental Requirements:
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 75% of the time
- Must be able to operate a computer and navigate an application within a smart-phone &/or tablet
- This position conducts telehealth visits. The candidate must be able to converse with clients, families, and colleagues in a professional manner
- Vision required to see computer monitor and smartphone/tablet
- This is a work-from-home position. Work should be performed in a private, quiet space with minimal background noise
