The Nurse Program Manager will lead a pioneering telehealth addiction medicine program, providing both clinical oversight and administrative management. This role combines hands-on patient care coordination with strategic leadership, ensuring that evidence-based, patient-centered services are delivered in a fully virtual environment. The manager will guide a team of healthcare professionals, implement program protocols, and leverage technology to enhance patient outcomes. The position offers the opportunity to shape an innovative program that addresses substance use disorders across Hawaii, collaborating with clinical staff, stakeholders, and public health partners. Ideal candidates are experienced registered nurses with a background in addiction medicine or behavioral health, strong leadership skills, and a passion for telehealth and healthcare innovation.

Accountabilities:

·         Lead and manage the telehealth addiction medicine program, overseeing clinical and administrative operations.

·         Coordinate patient care and ensure the delivery of evidence-based, non-judgmental services.

·         Supervise, mentor, and support nursing staff and interdisciplinary team members.

·         Develop, implement, and monitor program policies, procedures, and performance metrics.

·         Utilize technology, including EHRs and telehealth platforms, to optimize patient care and program efficiency.

·         Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to expand program reach and improve healthcare outcomes.

·         Manage scheduling, workflow, and resource allocation to maintain high-quality patient services.

Requirements

·         Current, unrestricted RN license in the State of Hawaii.

·         Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); Master’s degree (MSN, MPH, MHA) preferred.

·         Minimum 5 years of clinical nursing experience and 3 years in addiction medicine, SUD treatment, or psychiatric/mental health nursing.

·         Prior leadership or supervisory experience, including program coordination or charge nurse responsibilities.

·         Proficiency with Electronic Health Records, telehealth platforms, and secure communication tools.

·         Excellent verbal and written communication skills for building rapport with patients and colleagues.

·         Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage competing priorities.

·         Preferred: CARN or CARN-AP certification, experience in new program development, and telehealth management.
