Position Summary

The Clinical Nurse Researcher acts as a scientific nurse leader working collaboratively on multidisciplinary teams to design and carry out health-related research studies. Leads research from design, study execution, and dissemination of results (presentation and publication). Produces and interprets results for presentations appropriate to the intended use and audience, including summary tables, written reports, oral presentations, and journal publications. Provides scientific and programmatic oversight for research activities conducted by nurses Serves as principal investigator on self-directed research and/or as co-investigator on collaborative studies both internal and external to the institution.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts and participates in research studies as principal or co-investigator.
  • Participates in research activities, special investigations and descriptive and analytic studies relating to specific diseases; interprets results and participates in publications.
  • Conducts literature reviews and assists in preparing reports from analyses of surveillance data, literature reviews, and other information using behavioral science, demographic and epidemiologic analytic techniques, and evaluation.
  • Prepares technical reports and scientific articles for the peer reviewed literature.
  • Disseminate findings through peer-reviewed publications, presentations at scientific and community meetings, internal and external forums, and other venues.
  • Provides nursing expertise in the design, management and evaluation of study protocols and health status questionnaires, sample selection and analysis.

Requirements

  • PhD or DNP or other equivalent terminal degree in Nursing.
  • Established record of research accomplishment.
  • Strong author publication record in peer-reviewed journals with demonstrated expertise in an established area of research interest.
  • Knowledge and experience with qualitative research, or mixed methods, and a history of collaboration on multi-disciplinary or transdisciplinary research teams.

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $124,509.00 - $186,784.00 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant’s years of experience align.
