Marvin provides digital behavioral health services over telemedicine to medical first responders across the United States. Our mission is to end the one-size-fits-all approach to behavioral health, designing a unique treatment plan for each client, and providing culturally-adept care that best meets their needs.

We are looking for a passionate and experienced LCSW/ LCSW/ LMFT/ LMHC Psychotherapist and PsyD/PhD Psychologist to work part-time with healthcare professionals. The therapist will provide psychotherapy to medical first responders via telemedicine.

Administrative Support:

  • No Cost to Therapists: Marvin is completely free for therapists to use

  • Client Acquisition: We handle the contracts with healthcare systems and ensure that clients are matched with therapists based on their insurance and location. Marvin provides a searchable platform to help clients find therapists who meet their needs

  • Integrated Scheduling: Marvin offers an Acuity account, Zoom account, Gmail account, and a HIPAA-compliant, secure electronic health record (EHR) system for service documentation. Clients can easily book appointments through the platform

  • Training: Onboarding includes training with CEUs earned upon completion, and therapists are reimbursed for their training time

  • Scheduling Control: Ability to manage your own schedule and work with clients independently to pick times that work best for you both. Marvin does not believe in double booking

  • Reimbursement: Marvin will pay you half of your session rate for no shows and late cancellations

Clinical Support:

  • Therapist Support: A dedicated success team available to assist therapists with tech issues, scheduling challenges, and client outreach, including follow-ups for no-shows or late cancellations

  • Clinical Support Team: Provides hands-on assistance with scheduling, rescheduling, cancellations, and any other clinical-related issues

  • Transfer Requests: Support for client transfers, ensuring smooth transitions

  • Scholarship Program: Financial assistance for clients who face insurance lapses, high copays, or deductible challenges, ensuring they can continue their care

  • Malpractice Insurance: Coverage of up to $3 million in malpractice insurance at no cost to the therapist

  • 24/7/365 Crisis Support Line: Around-the-clock support, offering therapists peace of mind whenever it's needed. This line is staffed with Masters level licensed clinicians who have been trained in debriefing and de-escalation techniques and who can navigate your client into a higher level of care if needed

  • Continuing Education Credits: Free virtual continuing education sessions with industry-leading experts, helping therapists stay up-to-date and expand their knowledge

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conducting individual psychotherapy over telemedicine

  • Developing therapeutic treatment plans for healthcare workers

  • Maintaining appropriate records

  • Credentialing, referrals, appointment scheduling, billing and accounting duties handled by Marvin

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum qualifications:

  • Must be a licensed therapist (LICSW/ LCSW/ LMFT/ LMHC/PsyD) in the state of NC

  • Have at least two years of clinical experience treating individuals that serve in healthcare

  • Have experience working with healthcare professionals or first-responders

  • Have a desire to learn and share experience among a diverse team of both clinical and non-clinical colleagues

  • Are open to learning new skills!

Preferred qualifications:

  • Strong interpersonal skills with sensitivity to diverse communication styles and priorities

  • Experience working with telemedicine-based tools or online video communications

  • Experience in practicing with evidence-based psychotherapies such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), or interpersonal psychotherapy (IPT).

  • Experience incorporating clinical diagnostic and assessment instruments (e.g., PHQ-9) to monitor client progress and treatment outcomes

Compensation:

  • Depending on experience, licensure and availability - $60-70/Hr

  • $80/HR PhD/PsyD/Psychologist

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $60.00 - $80.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • Choose your own hours

  • Evening shift

  • Monday to Friday

  • Weekends as needed
