About the Role
Mentis AI is seeking experienced medical coders based in the US to support the review and refinement of a new medical coding AI platform. You will work asynchronously to review de-identified coding cases, helping train and validate AI models for automated medical coding.
Key Responsibilities
Case Review & Coding: Review individual coding cases (estimated 30–45 minutes per case), applying accurate medical codes in line with project guidelines and standards.
Quality Assurance & Data Accuracy: Ensure consistent and accurate application of medical codes following provided guidelines and project standards.
Platform-Based Review: Use a dedicated labeling platform to review, code, and validate cases efficiently.
Feedback & Collaboration: Provide feedback to improve coding guidelines, identify ambiguities in source data, and support the improvement of AI-assisted coding mappings.
Essential Requirements:
Medical coding experience: Strong track record of medical coding
Certification: Must be AAPC certified
Coverage: Must be covered under BAA
Location: Must be US-based in the United States
Attention to detail: Proven track record of accuracy and consistency in clinical data coding
Language: Professional working English proficiency for written deliverables
Legal Status
You must have the right to work in your country of residence
You will work as an independent contractor
