Job Description

We are seeking an organized and efficient Medical Billing Assistant to join our team in Gillette, Wyoming. As a Medical Billing Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely billing processes for our organization. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong administrative skills and a professional demeanor.

• Process invoices, bills, and payments accurately and efficiently
• Verify and reconcile billing data to ensure completeness and accuracy
• Assist in resolving billing discrepancies and customer inquiries
• Maintain organized billing records and documentation
• Generate and distribute billing reports as needed
• Collaborate with accounting and customer service teams to ensure smooth billing operations
• Assist in month-end closing procedures related to billing
• Support accounts receivable and collections processes
• Perform data entry tasks with high accuracy and attention to detail
• Contribute to the improvement of billing procedures and systems

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in accounting or related field preferred
• 1-2 years of experience in billing, accounting, or related field
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP)
• Strong attention to detail and excellent data entry skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
• Basic math and financial skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of billing procedures and practices
• Ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
• Customer-oriented approach with problem-solving abilities
• Familiarity with medical billing a plus (if applicable to the industry)
