Are you an experienced HCC Risk Adjustment Coder looking for a rewarding remote position within a leading healthcare organization? Hyre Harper Co. is seeking 40 dedicated HCC Risk Adjustment Coders to join a prestigious healthcare system. As an HCC Risk Adjustment Medical Coder, you will conduct risk adjustment coding for various projects, including retrospective reviews, concurrent coding, and attestations. You'll leverage your knowledge and expertise to accurately code diagnoses under CMS HCC guidelines and assist in identifying key data that supports clinical quality and financial integrity.
Responsibilities:
- Review medical records to identify and accurately code all relevant diagnoses according to CMS HCC categories.
- Ensure accurate, complete, and specific documentation that supports risk adjustment requirements.
- Conduct claims and encounter coding activities, verifying that documentation supports the HCC risk adjustment codes used.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding standards, industry guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in training and provide feedback to enhance coding quality and efficiency.
- Document coding information accurately in required systems and complete paperwork as needed.
Requirements
Requirements:
- Active coding certifications such as CRC, CPC, CIC, COC, or CCS.
- Minimum of 2 years of HCC risk adjustment coding experience.
- Strong technical skills with the ability to adapt to multiple EMR systems and projects; experience with HCC Contract Work or similar platforms is a plus.
- Ability to meet productivity and quality metrics consistently.
- Private, distraction-free workspace with high-speed internet and hard-wired connection.
- Must be available during PST hours for the first week of training.
- Must pass a background check, drug test, credential verification, and have a high school diploma or GED.
Schedule:
- Full-time, remote role with potential for flexible scheduling after the initial training period.
- 40 hours per week with some weekend flexibility for self-motivated individuals.
